Scope

This policy applies to all personnel, including officers and directors of Vera, temporary staff and contingent workers, interns, and volunteers in addition to vendors and customers. This policy covers conduct in the workplace and when company business is conducted off premises.

Reporting Violations of this Policy Statement

All Vera personnel are responsible for keeping the work environment free of unlawful discrimination. Vera will not permit any form of retaliation against individuals who make good faith reports of alleged violations of this Policy Statement, or who cooperate in Vera investigation of such reports, even if the allegations are unable to be substantiated.

If Vera personnel or applicants for employment observe or experience any type of work-related discrimination that they believe may be unlawful or which violates this Policy Statement, they should report it to AskHR (AskHR@Vera.com), the Business Conduct Office (BusinessConduct@Vera.com)

As a manager, if you become aware of an incident of possible discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, either by receiving a report or by witnessing the offensive conduct, you must report the incident immediately to your HR Business Partner.  If for some reason, you do not feel it appropriate to report directly to your HR Business Partner, you may alternatively report it to AskHR (AskHR@vera.com), the Business Conduct Office (BusinessConduct@Vera.com). When Vera becomes aware of a complaint, we may be obligated by law to investigate it, whether or not the complainant wants Vera to do so.

Upon receipt of a report of alleged discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, Vera will promptly investigate the complaint in a manner that is objective, confidential and consistent with a thorough investigation and will take appropriate corrective action when necessary.

Accountability

Executive, management and supervisory level employees have the responsibility to further the implementation of this policy statement and ensure compliance by all Vera personnel.
